Praise for my Hubby

Visit me at my new website - anniecrawford.com
I read the following quote today in Henri Nouwen's Lifesigns;

When Jesus says: "Do not be afraid; It is I," he reveals a new space in which we can move freely without fear. This intimate space is not a fine line between distance and closeness, but a wide field of movement in which the question of whether we are too close or distant is no longer the guiding question.

If there is any one reality that has most characterized our marriage, it is that of my husband's unconditional love. I brought in a fair amount of baggage into the marriage, yet we have had a very peaceful marriage these four years. When I pause to consider Tommy, I am easily flooded with the tireless unconditionality of his love towards me. I have never felt even a fleck of fear around him. I have never felt insecure or as though I had to hide a part of myself, even for a moment. He has been an incarnation of Christ's healing love to me, one which I do not deserve.
